I am Germany & I am on a Eurotrip!

A German Perspective

Europe is home to many beautiful countries and also to me. I am Germany. I am situated in middle Europe. People say I’m ancient and at the same time contemporary. Many areas are compact yet cosmopolitan and I’m very famous yet unexplored.

Well today I’m not here to talk about me but my trip. My trip to other European countries. I don’t know why some people are still in the notion that I and France are rivals.

Germany Euro Trip

France welcomed me with a rose wine and a cheese. During my stay there, it taught me to take a step back and chill because who knows which virus is waiting for us to screw our happiness. The people, the cities, the food and the music were all no less than poetry. France is the flower of Europe that has the sweetest smell and one can only ‘bisou bisou’ while parting.

My next stop was Spain. A country where not just life but also death is celebrated. All saints’ day aka. Dia de muertos is considered a day to celebrate the deceased and dead relatives and friends. Offerings are made on this day in their remembrance. The country of beaches and Festivals got me swirled around. The Spaniards won’t let me rest my back. I often went out dancing and it wasn’t always flamenco.

People had a simple mantra to lead life, good food is good mood and good mood is dance.

My next stop was the largest country in terms of territory. Russia! Russia taught me how important it is to stick around family and friends. It is home to a popular notable art form – Ballet. Russian architecture is one of its kind. The onion-shaped domes of St. Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow are emblematic. During my visit to Russia I saw a lot of brides around the country as it’s a tradition to go on a city tour after marriage. There are many such beliefs that make a country what it is. Some also name them as superstitions.

The final and the last stop was Italy. It made me go mamma Mia. What’s there, that’s not there in Italy.

It has given us two most important gems – Pasta and Pizza. It’s home to sports cars like Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and sleek Vespa scooters. People here can also speak without words and just by using their hands. I learnt to drill the index finger in the cheek to say that the food is delicious. The cafes and the coffees are a never ending affair.

By the end of the trip I took so much with me. It was lovely writing about my trip and in the end we all said Ciao!!!!! And waved happily at each other.
