Tokutei Ginou, or Specified Skilled Worker (SSW), is a Japanese work visa designed to fill labour shortages across designated sectors such as manufacturing, food service, construction, agriculture and nursing care. Type-1 runs up to five years; Type-2 can lead to indefinite stay.
