French — Exams & Pathways

TEF Canada

A French exam accepted by Canadian immigration — French points can add a big CRS boost for Express Entry.

TEF Canada (Test d'évaluation de français) is a French exam recognised by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. Strong French scores convert to NCLC levels that can add a substantial CRS boost — often the difference in getting an Express Entry invitation.

One honest note: the TEF listening section plays only once and the computer format trips people up. For a working professional, reaching NCLC 7 from scratch realistically takes 10–12 months, not the 6 many budget — we plan to the real timeline.

What level / visa it maps to

Aim for NCLC 7 (≈ B2) for the strongest Express Entry / Canada PR points.

We'll be straight with you about the level and timeline your goal actually needs — then get you there.
