We all know German language and we all know how to teach. But, when it comes to foreign language teaching, a complete different skillset and approach is required by the teachers. An approach which will give insight about the methods and didactics of teaching German as a foreign language. This course will focus on developing this particular skillset of teachers.

Details of German Teachers Training Workshop

Minimum Qualification required for this course is B2 (Goethe Institute) completed/ B.A./M.A.in German.  

Course Content:

The course is meant to guide the teachers of German language in improving their teaching skills, in online as well as their offline lectures.

Inputs for successful lesson planning, handling larger groups at one time, know-how of certain useful online apps, making lectures more productive and interactive with interesting games and fun activities, making good PPTs, conducting evaluations etc. will be given during the course.

The course will be a combination of theory and as well as some practical knowledge.

The entire course will be conducted in German and (as and when required) in English.

Goals and Objectives:

The teachers should get to know a little bit of theory of Didactics of German as a foreign language.

Along with theory they should also gain insight into productive lesson planning.

They should get to learn more about the importance of communicative approach in language classes.

They should themselves get an opportunity to revise their language and hone their language skills.

They should be able to discuss about their problems with the expert, as well as their fellow colleagues and find out workable solutions.

They will learn concrete ideas of lesson planning and gain inputs on how to enhance the four important skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) of their learners.
