German Language | Level B1 – German Language

Course description:

Level B1 corresponds to the intermediate level of the language, i.e. those able to communicate in everyday situations with little effort even with natives and have the necessary fluency. The course is designed in a way that it gives you a deeper insight of all the four modules. The four modules are reading, writing, listening and speaking. 

Recommend number of hours:

It takes around 120 hours to complete this course.

However, 100 hours for overall level training 

20 hours for exam preparation and practice

Course goal: 

The Students can communicate without difficulty in understanding the tasks requiring direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.

we can start getting a hold over the German language 

One can form coherent texts about topics with which they are familiar or in which they have a personal interest

The Learners can describe experiences, events, wishes, dreams, aspirations, likes and dislikes briefly

They can also have a conversation or discussion about all general topics

Learning objectives:

Reading

1. Acquiring the ability to understand complex texts 

2. Understanding and working on longer texts 

3. Learning the techniques to increase the reading and understanding Speed

Writing: 

1. Writing texts about almost everything

2. Composing own texts in form of a report, narrative text or descriptive text

3. Being able to write formal,informal and complaint mails and letters 

Speaking:

1. Presenting a topic briefly 

2. Being able to express one’s opinion about numerous topics

3. Being part of conversation other than the familiar stuff and understanding it

Listening:

1. Understanding the interview 

2. Being able to understand the language used on shows, some films and podcasts

3. Acquiring the ability to listen and make detailed notes simultaneously

Course Assessment: 

Students’ progress will be assessed on a weekly basis with feedback given in the class. Conducting regular memorising activities in order to enhance the vocabulary and  regular tests to review and revise.
